? 02 PSD

Looking at 02 F-350 PSD CC/SB 103,000mi. Black in color. Clean carfax. Asking price 17k. Any thoughts. I have no experience with PSD but have always wanted one. I have never owned a SB truck but this one is so nice I might make an exception. I geberally know what to look for but I not familiar with the engine but have been reading down in the 7.3 section. Any specific problems with the 02 model year? Any help appreciated.

You didn't say what trim level (XL, XLT, Lariat) or transmission, 4x4, etc., but a basic XL 4x4 on KBB with that mileage is:

Excellent $16,300
Good $15,625
Fair $14,575

Trim level?
4x4?
SRW or Dually?
Location?
Any special additions such as chips, programs, etc.?
If all is in good shape, it sounds like a fair deal.

The 7.3's will sell for a good price, especially a low mileage one like that. The 7.3 is a good hard working long lasting easy to work on engine. You wont be disapointed, and if you want to tune it up these guys have all the right suggestions through trial and error, sothey know what they are talking about. Good luck on your decision.

I've got an 02' F-350 Black Lariat. It's the greatest truck man has ever invented.

God smiled down on earth the day it rolled off the assembly line......

Thanks guys for the replies. Truck is an XLT, 4x4, SRW. No tuner but has a K&N filter which would be taken out immediately! Truck is in Erie, Pa.

If all else looks good, I think you have found a nice truck.
If you pass this up, my brother -n-law may be interested.
Keep us posted.

Good hunting,

Mmmmm Black... a pain to keep clean, but looks sharp when it is. Cleaning is my problem.

Concerned now that dash has holes drilled in for either a tuner or plow. If it had a tuner I'm not sure I want it. If it had a plow I definitely don't want it.

I'd say go take a look at the thing, if those two thing that worry you have been done walk away.

What's the owner say the hole was for?

I have not had a chance to look it over yet due to work and family responsiblities. Truck is at a small dealer lot and had four previous owners.

Mine must have come off the line right in front of yours.....and it's BLUE! Other than PMR connecting rods, the 02's are great stock.....even better modded up!

Just saw your last post.....four previous owners would have me thinking and concerned, can you have a mechanic look closely at the truck? Make sure the turbo wheel isn't dusted.
