Toasted Tranny-Reuse Torque Converter?
I burned up the C6 tranny in my '78 F250 4x4. I happen to have a spare tranny laying around. The only catch is my engine is a '70 429 with the large pilot hole (FE style) in the crankshaft. When I put the 429 in I bought a new TCI converter. Being my tranny is bad and none of my spare converters fit, is it ok to reuse the newer TCI converter with the spare tranny? Or do I need to get a new converter?

Fair enough. Now heres another question. Do I get a brand new converter and use my spare tranny or get the spare tranny rebuilt and have an all new/fresh setup?
