anyone else thinking about valentines yet?
i am and usually i have a great plan for the weekend for the gf and i. this time i dont know what to get her. We decided to be cheap this year, like last year, since it is just a retail day to spend money on someone you love. Anyone have any good idea's for 100 or less? she doesnt like the inflation that roses get for v-day so that is out of the question So post up your idea's or what your going to do fir your significant other

Spa day, nails (finger and toe), hair, message the whole 9 yards, she don't need a hair cut/color get then her the other stuff and you are set.
Along with a steak dinner and 1 rose, works every time IMB.
Big fat diamond rings work also, unless you are scared, LMAO.
And of course a "record it yourself card" with some funny message.

Valentine's day is the furthest thought from my mind right now. I let my wife handle the bills and we got in a big to-do last night. I broke the engine in my Nova and sold the bike. I'm not sure how, but she let the bills go to a ridiculous level. Yesterday, I tried to register my '79 Ford. It cost $250 at the insurance agency to get the policy re-instated that she let lapse. Then the internet went out. Non-payment of bill. (for three months) $200 to get that back together. Rent for the house is $635. Cost me $650 with late fees. I could go on, but suffice it to say, I can't fix my car now. I still have the money for the frame and axles Rich, so no worries there. I think I'M owed something for Valentine's day. I'm taking the 454 out of her Impala for my Nova. She can have my broke 396. Her engine doesn't run like mine, but it'll do for now. It cost almost $1,500 to get everything turned back on and caught up to date. I think she owes me an engine.
I'm out a Harley Panhead AND an engine??!! ....not likely.

So, if I jumped off of a mountain...
I know better than to pick on you too much (in open forum) because you know ME as well....
Sorry to hear about your struggles, earthquake...all things in time.

I'm getting the wife the same thing I have the last 14 years. Nothing. I played the game when dating but not after we were married. I refuse to spend my hard earned money (no comments from you Chip ) on a trumped up holiday made up by retailers to extort my money.
With Christmas in Dec, the wifes b-day on Jan 29th & mine on Feb 7th it's hard enough.

Me and the wife are considering having a sort of Valentine's dinner at the house for us and other couple's we're tight with. The pain in the *** and let down of a crappy meal out has forced us all to think we'd be better suited getting together and cooking up a killer meal in comfortable surroundings and our chillens around.
Dan's just a temperamental bitch since today's his birthday.

That doesn't.
Happy Birthday, Dan.
