I'm with BobbyTNM my lady is fairly cool but I also had a bunch of crap going on when we got serious. Granted all of "OUR" bills are paid first anything else is mine to have and do so with as I see fit. Its a good pitch if you know how to curve it in your favor... Good luck!!!

NA, she's the 4th and I ain't going through that s--t again plus she's the one that talked me into buying the property with the garage so I gotta keep her around, she might find something else I really want and if it goes south I can always tell her that against my better judgement you talked me into buying it, ha ha

My wife bugged me to look at our truck for a couple months. I finally agreed to with no intention of buying, cause I got enough crap the way it is. well...she won...I lost! Now I have to suffer for a very long time...

I may be the head of the house, but my wife is the neck...the neck turns the head whatever direction it chooses...

Wife of 21 years just reminds me that the city's Code Enforcement Officer likes to give me grief.... and that if I don't keep it covered, I get to pay the fines...

The Pinto and the bikes will have a new roof to hide under soon, if for storage only... and the RX7 should be up and running this spring, then all focus goes to the trucks....

Mine was pretty easy. Since I'm single I just had to convince the voices in my head it was a good idea!

Nice thread: Ok, my wife and I just bought our first house so after we moved in our garage was full for a couple of months. So in the mean time I was looking around for a deal. She was already talking about parking her car in the garage (which means I would be opening and closing that door and also just because she could, by the way).

Anyway I found a truck, got the guy to deliver it on a wednesday morning after she left, and when my son came home I called on the phone and told him to go out in the garage. I could hear her in the background saying, "DID YOU GET A DOG"???...SHE IS NOT A DOG PERSON. So my son opens the garage door and says,"Mom you gotta some see this right now". She comes and of course says, "whats that piece of junk doing the the garage"? I had hinted to her that we would be getting a dog or a truck so technically I did warn her....haha. Anyway, the reason I went that route is because we do have our own accounts since we don't have the same spending habits and she always flips at first and then calms down hours later. So it's been about 3 years and hoping to get daylight on that ol girl sometime in the near futrue.

Well there you have it, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

Mine knows I am not happy unless I have something to tinker with. If is not the house or my Mustang I had then it had to be something else. Sold the stang, Almost finished the house so the deal was finish the house then I could start on the truck.

My wife says "It keeps me outa her hair".
I'm retired so it's a perfect fit, I'm in the garage five or six hours every day...making sparks and dust.

My Ole Lady is perty easy going. She lets me do what I want and spend what I want as long as she has money to spend and besides anything she wants she normally gets. Her parents gave us a 55 chevy b210 4 door, it was a father son project that never got finished and sat around for 16-17 years so they gave it to me. I had it for abit but looking it over there was alot of stuff to do on it and some guy I had never met before started showing up asking if I'd sell it. At first I was scared to let it go because I didn't want the In-laws pissed at me. After about 6-7 months of this guy always asking me I tossed the idea of selling it to him and getting a old truck to fix up. I told my wife it would be alot easier to fix up an old truck than it would be to fix up the car, she gave me the green light and the rest is history...

My ex was around when I worked on different projects... and I told her that I wasn't out drinking my paycheck away or chasing other women... Just made sure that there was always a roof over our head and food on the table... Then I found out she was out cheating on me... LOL... I'm single... Just have a room mate and my daughter.... So just have to ask my self if I can spend money on it or not...

My wife, Cris, encourages me. She know it brings me so much happiness. If it wasnt for her I wouldnt have even seen the '48.
Also seperate incomes, seperate bank accounts. As long as the bills are paid, I spend my money, she spends hers.
