Recommend a general purpose light duty welder

I was wondering what welder you guys would recommend to have in my barn for light sheet-metal work and body work on my truck? I have some small rust patches to fix, and holes to fill along the top rail of the bed. Might even skin the roof if I can't get that big dang dent out of it...

I see these cheap units that pop up in my mailbox from time to time, and I AM looking for an inexpensive unit, but I don't want to waste my money on a piece of crap. Something easy enough to learn too, as I'm not a welder. I'm sure I can pick up on it, but I don't want to fight a unit that doesn't work well to begin with.

Wire? Stick? MIG-TIG or whatever those are? Oh, and I guess being able to move it around would be VERY important, so 120V ?

Any suggestions?

I have a Miller 140 and it works great for me. Runs on 120v too.

Me and my dad have 120v Hobarts, made by miller. Definitely get the gas bottle (I use argon co2 mix) the flux core wire makes ugly welds and is harder to do sheet metal. Tractor supply has pretty good prices, so unless northern is offering free shipping or something you may want to check them, assuming you have one nearby.

I have an Air Liquide,,same as Miller 140.GREAT MACHINE..You get what you pay for...I read a consumers reiview where they tested 10 cheap migs, none of them performed well,, in the end their recommendation was to buy quality $600 range for something you will be happy with.
That said,,everyone has a budget,,just some are bigger than others...wish I had Jay Lenos' budget in my shop
