hey you all got everything together on the old ford just having problems bleeding the clutch system. I started by pushing the clutch pedel by hand and then by foot as it got harder. but i still cant get all the air out of the system.
So i come on here and seached bleeding clutch and so on, alot of people had said to put a small hose on the bleeder screw but i cant... On my slave is a allen screw and there is a tinyhole to let the fliud out, so cant put a hose on it at all. I got some of the air out but not good enough tried to drive it didnt like the way the clutch felt. Not enough pressure to push the clutch pedel back..
does anyone have any ideas?

it will take 2 people , push down on pedal hold then loosen bleed screw tighten bleed screw and push down again and repeat , check the fluid !

 

These clutch systems bleed the last little bit of air out by themselves. You can get it started with the bleeder screw, and get the clutch almost bled and mostly working like you did already, but driving it and using the clutch will get the rest of the air out. There is no way to force all the air out of the bleeder screw since it's mounted low on the slave cylinder.

I usually get it half-way working, put it in neutral and start the engine. I then push the clutch in, and try to get the tranny in the highest gear. This will stop the tranny from turning. Then quickly shift the tranny from gear to gear down to the gear you will use to start out in, and then start driving the truck. My driveway is very steep, and seems to help get the air out, so you might try some hills. Over time the air will work it's way out.

 

thanks for the help, i'm going to get some help in the morning try to bleed alittle more air of the system and see what will happen and try to drive it.
