Sorry had issues with my upload. We had about 150 hotrods! I will be posting pics later and video.

Number Dummy was at Ken Grody in the AM.

I left early to attend the show, forgot that Grody was on Beach, headed down Harbor instead. Then after not finding the dealership, I realized I'd goofed. By the time I got to Grody, most of the vehicles had left.

I won't make that mistake again. I drove my 2008 Fusion to Grody, drove home in a new 2011 F150 Lariat Super Crew.

Sounds good, Bill. Expensive car show, but a memorable one for you. Which engine did you decide upon?

5.0L. The 6.2L is only available in the Lariat Limited w/the max tow package and is 3 grand extra. The 5.0L has to be better than the 5.4L.

What I found amazing was, the MSRP is almost 40 grand, yet it didn't come with a bedliner, or a sprayed in version...just a plain 'ol painted bed.

It does have Sync, heated/cooled leather seats, Sirius, backup camera, capless fuel neck, and lots of other fall-der-all.

It fits into the garage with barely 5" to spare as it's almost 8" longer than the 2004/09 short bed version as Ford expanded the rear seat area.

There's enough room in the back seat for 5 Basset Hounds, 2 on the seats, 3 on the floor.

Nice! I felt that extra 8". I rode in the back seat while Carol test drove, and it felt like I was sitting in a ballroom. Could barely reach the front seat with my toes. You probably won't ever ride in the back seat, but even a big guy like you would have plenty of leg room.

Before I bought it, I drove it home to see if it would fit into the garage. It's a ponderous 231.9" long, the 2004/09 version was 224."

Maybe yes/maybe no...it all depends on "what side of the fence" you're on. I walked out twice, each time they gave me a bit more for the Fusion. The last time was almost what I wanted for it...almost.

Dealers are a PITA to deal with, always have lame excuses why they aren't making any money. Yeah right, my dad was a Olds dealer, so I know the score.

After the final figures were tallied, they then tried to sell me all sorts of worthless extras. I told them NO on all of them.
