FTE won't remember my login info!!

Hi,

I hope I'm in the right forum. If not maybe a moderator can move it to where I'll get an answer.
Anyhoo, here's my dilema.
My computer's hard drive crashed with no chance to recover any of my pics, data etc..
New hard drive installed, going thru the process of entering my favorite web sites along with the login data.
All sites EXCEPT FTE will remember my user name and password!!
I have entered it several times and when I close the browser and re-open it, I get the generic screen prompting me to login.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
I have Windows Vista Business and IE8.

I am not getting the pop-up "Remember this Password" I have looked in internet options/content/autocomplete/settings under the "Tools" menu and made sure "Forms" was un-checked as suggested in a Google search. Any more help is appreciated.

Just click the "Remember me" box when you log in. Unless you have cookies disabled for some reason.

And you do not click "log out" when you leave?

I had the same issue with my work computer.
I had to log in manually to FTE only every time I closed the browser and re-opened it.
Every other website that I logged into remembered me except for FTE.
The cure was to go to the cookie folder and manually delete all the cookies.
I had to re-enter all my passwords at all the web sites I visit, but it cured the FTE problem.

I send out 40 of these a week...99.9% ,,,,,this fixes it if you do in this order.

Do this WORD for WORD.....it helps your computer to do this once a month anyway. First make sure you are logged off… then clear ALL your cookies/cache, …then run-disk clean up check ALL and dump, then de-frag you HD restart and log in…ALWAYS log off when done.

I was thinking that there might be an option enabled that would delete cookies automatically. I found an option to do this for temporary internet files, but not for cookies.

You might check this though: Go to the start menu. Select control panel/internet options. On internet property, click the privacy tab. Then click the "advanced" button. Check to make sure that "override automatic cookie handling" is not checked.

Did you try my idea? I had the same problem that you are experiencing and it fixed mine.

Dan,

I did remove/delete cookies as you suggested. I do have the issue resolved...I had third party internet security program that had "cookies" blocked. I unblocked this feature and we are Golden...Thanks to all for the support.
