1985 f150 wing vent window - How to remove the glass

Pretty simple.
If you have manual windows, remove the crank.
Remove the screw in the arm rest cup
Pull off the door panel.
Remove the two screws holding the vent window.
Remove this bolt. You'll then want to move the main window out of the channel. Pull back your weather stripping and go to work trying to pull the vent window out. You can also try opening the vent window and hitting the frame with the flat of your hand. They don't usually come out that easily, so don't give up. Good luck.

Remove the bolt for the back window channel.
Here you can see the back window channel.
Roll the window up in the door. Reach in and move the channel down and towards you.
Roll the window back down and make sure it is no longer riding in the channel. Pull the window to the back to pop it out of the front channel.
Open the vent window as shown and start rolling the window up. There is a single square roller that the window track rides on. You'll need to tilt the window out and up as shown in the pic to slide the track off.
Here is a pic of the roller and the window track.
Install is the reverse of removal. It takes a little maneuvering to get the roller back in the window track.
After you get the roller back in the track roll the window all the way down making sure it's not in either window channel. Also make sure you have the back channel pulled towards you.
Place the window back into the front window channel.
Roll the window up again and line up the rear channel.
Put the bolt in finger tight and test to make sure the window is in properly.
If all is ok, tighten up the bolt and recheck that the window rolls up and down easily.
Hope that helps.
