Ok so some of you may remember the thread i typed up on the kid at my school with the idi engine that had us all wondering.Well i am the proud owner of it now.Came to find out logans grandpaw who owns the yard told logan bout the motor tansey brought in and logan took it and was keeping it at their barn so i asked if he would wana sell it he said 250$ i didint wanan pay that stinkin much so i ended up trading him my bow for it i wanted to sell my bow anyway so now we are gunna see what really hapenend to this poor engine

That thread was probably the hardest one I've ever read...and I do more reading than posting!
Driving the crap out of the truck doesn't guarantee the thing will blow up! I drive mine like I stole it...the motor sees the governor through the gears very often, like several times a day. The thing is bone stock and flies. Quite a bit slower and frusturating compared to a big block though.
As for speed without overdrive, I can bury my speedo in 4th and still be accelerating for a little longer, wth 3.55 gears and 235/85r16, basicaaly 32" tires. And I can't wait until I can beat it more during the work season, starting in April. I swear my 6.9 runs better when it's getting abused. LOL
But now that you've got the chance to tear it down, you gotta take pictures!

A pse nova brand new muzzy 100grains never shot true fire trigger release stabilizer mathews arrow quiver whisker biscut 60$ case and new strings were 100 bucks.I tried to sell it for 300$ on craiglis but nobody would go for that deal i had a little over 450 in it so i traded i know i lost but oh well id rather have the motor haha
