Front-end weight

Does anyone know the weight of front of these trucks? I know it somewhat varies on model but when I use my floor jack to lift the front of my truck it will leak some hydrolic fluid. When I use this same jack on all my other cars it does not leak. I know that 7.3 is heavy but wondered how much? Same for the rear if someone has that figured out also?

Thanks...

Mike

I have no idea. Maybe just not a heavy duty jack?? Engine alone weighs over 1000 lbs with fluids.

Mine is very close to Brians, 4500 on the front and 8100 total.

That was at one of the local rock yards, I think their scales are a little on the heavy side.

Brian....WOW awsome truck. Your truck before the transformation looks very similar to mine back when I bought it in 95'. Mine is a dark navy blue but still 2WD and stock. Boy if I could I would love to go your route, very nice job.

Isnt the weight listed on the sticker inside the drivers door i think it even splits it up into front and back. along with recommended tire pressures.

Mine's about 4000lbs on the front, 3300 or so on the rear. I jack it up one corner at a time.
