ACCEL DFI Thruster & EMS Q's
Hello All
I have a 92 F250 EXT CAB 460 4x4 w/ 4.10 gears, D50 up front w/ a 10.25 in the rear.
I was maybe looking into getting an Accel Thruster for my BBF. ACCEL 77011 - ACCEL DFI Thruster EFI Engine Management Systems - Overview - SummitRacing.com
I have also looked to the TWeecer The TwEECer -- EEC-IV user programmable module
i have done mods to my truck that have not helped out w/ making my truck more efficent and some that have made a significant improvement in its effinciency. For example i have side gapped my plugs, put in Ford 10mm wires, Taylor Made Cap and rotor w/ a MSD Blaster coil. That made throttle response and fuel efficency great. Then i got the idea one day to remove my SQEAKING air pump. i kept my throttle response but hurt my fuel efficency. Kinda wish i didn't toss it all but oh well.
I am looking to balance things out, and bring my truck to a more effincent running vehicle. Im not looking for big power or 15mpg. This is my DD and i don't have a choice since im temporaryly handycapped and cant ride another motorcycle for a lil due to an accident. Since im sure the ECU is compensasting for the loss of AIR from the smog pump. i am looking for something tunable or something that already takes into account that certain SMOG items have been removed or when i do get a full exhaust to take advantage of the full effieciecy when she can breath better.
If you know of someone that can REFLASH our ECU that would be cool to. I would love to here your comments and opinions negative or positive. Its all a free bump TTT. i would mainly like to keep it SD not messing w/ MAF. Since soon i will be going Cummins, but thats a whole other apple
