99-04 f450 brake conversion

I have a 2003 f350 drw and found a 2003 f450 2wd with 4.30 gears. I would like to install the f450 rear, and the front 2wd mono beam appears to be the same knuckles out; I understand the wheel bearings are the same just the adapters are different, can i bolt on the 2wd brakes and adapters onto my f350? I plan on running 22.5 wheels so i have to buy adapters anyway and like the idea of bigger brakes and 4.30:1 gears. I know i can order two seperate sets of adapters but really like the brakes I also understand i will have to change front gears. the running gear from the f450 also comes with 19.5 wheels and tires but the tires are worn but runable until i get the 22.5 tires I have wheels already. thanks

Not sure on your question but i do recall the 450 master cylinder being bigger than the 250-350 so you will want to change that also.

Good idea on master cylinder.
My question is will 2wd f450 brakes fit on my 4wd f350?

Are you asking if the 450 brakes from the mono-beam will bolt up to the twin I-beam of the 350, or does your 350 have a mono?

Does the person with the rear end for sale also have the front end off the 450 avail, or are you going to have to find the parts separately? (If it's the same from the knuckle out, could you just swap everything from the ball joints out?) You might get lucky with it being the same year truck.

Also, If you change the brakes at one end, you'll want to change both ends along with the 450 master cyl. If you keep the smaller brakes at one end it'll throw off the brake bias and could be dangerous under heavy braking.

Does someone know what if any 2wd and 4wd f450 front axle parts are the same or different for a 03?
Parts such as knuckles, backing plates, rotors, calipers, adapters etc

I have found out the rotors are diffrent but still not sure about the backing plates and if knuckles will work I would like to bolt the backing plates and new rotors onto my f350 and install the 2wd adapters on is this possible? I also purchased the mastercylinder but waiting on gears to see if mine will work.

I believe the front end is the same, but the F450 and F550 use a hub spacer/adapter that bolts onto the 8x170 hub and has 10 lug on the other side. They are 3" spacers or so.

That I don't know about. I always thought 2wd and 4wd were completely different.

up to 2005, the F-450 and F-550's used 8 lugs not 10.

lot more differences to account for. abs-non abs, f450 some had front mount calipers(brackets and calipers prob same), two different diameter rotors available on front.

I am ready to do this conversion but still dont know what all i will need I have the front end from 03 4x4 f350 dually and front mono beam 4x2 03 f450 front end it appears I can bolt on the f450 knuckle and use the f350 hubs and f450 adapters for wheels. Will this work? are the knuckles compatable?
