It will definitly find them. If you start using it early in the motors life like after a rebuild before 50k,, You get better results from the crankcase.

Is there a different version of seafoam for trans? My trans is a c-6 behind a 460 in a F-250 that when put in drive and hit the gas will quickly shifts into second and then third within 10 fet of movement. If you manually shift it works just fine. The kickdown works well now that i put the extension on the rod required when using an elderbrock carb.

Any thoughts would be helpful.... Sorry for the hijack

I've always used seafoam and used two cans this weekend during a tune up. As far as the crank goes, I've always put in some trans fluid in the oil about 50-75 miles before an oil change. Do it before every oil change and you will see your oil get cleaner and cleaner at oil change time.

Never claimed to know much about trans but is the vacc regulator hooked up good? I've had one slip and cause it to not want to shift at all so maybe the reg is bad?

Just a thought...

I have replaced the vacuum regulator and that didnt help but dont remember if I checked the pin (at least I think I read about a pin), will have to check that.

Thanks for the thought

It's been a while but If i'm not mistaken it's a screw and the further its turned in the higher you will have to get your rpms (more vacc) for it to shift.

Good luck!!

Does it need to be flushed out or can it stay in there?

Seafoam is good stuff. So is Marvel Mystery Oil. I've used both for years, mainly in the gas tank to keep the fuel system clean. I've done the "down the carb to clean up the valves" thing with tranny fluid before. It does the trick too.
