Newbie with a 62 Unibody

Hello all, name is Ashley and I recently purchased a 1962 Unibody. I am told that it is all original except for the seat. It's a bit rough but a good start for what I paid. The truck is intended to be for me and my 8 year old son to tinker with for the next couple of years and then turn it over to him at 16.

Hey Ashley, welcome to a great forum. I have just recently joined myself and it is a great source. Congrats on your recent purchase and most importantly including your son in it. Keep him with you in the garage and there's a better chance of keeping him away from all the other stuff that's out there today. These guys on here are as knowledgeable as you are likely to find anywhere and willing to help. Good luck with your truck and your son. Russ

Welcome to the forum Ashley. You might also want to visit www.fordtruk.com to as that sight deals specifically with the 61-66 F series trucks.

Hi Ashley, I’m a newbie here also. That’s a great looking slick, and should be a blast for you and your son. I’m really glad to here about young people interested in old vehicles. All the best to you and your son!
