Side Molding?

Side Molding?
Is there any real demand for the side molding from short-box beds? I know that you can buy them new, but I'm not real aware of what they cost and what they should sell for used. The reason I ask is that I recently removed the molding off a shortbed and was wondering if it was worth anything.

I would say a definite "yes, there is demand".
I've bought three sets of side moldings for $100 CAN. All were perfect condition, pretty much no spots or scratches.
The guy sold them all to me as a set of three full sets becuse he had them wrapped in bubble wrap for around 15 years.
If I were you, grab some turtle wax, and get to work. You can easily sell your moldings if you take care of them, because they are indeed in demand.
I just happened to grab that triple set of rubber inserts from that guy for $100, JUST before two others were about to show up at his door and offer him more.
If you have the race-track trim moldings, and they're in really good shape, ask $50. You can always come down to what others have said ($30).

Hate to hijack this thread, but does anyone reading this thread have regular cab LONG BED side molding (with rubber insert) to unload? Would love to pick some up, and would really rather not pay Mr. Carpenter $600.
Thanks!
Oh, and as far as the shortbed trim is concerned, I think there will definitely be a buyer for it. I wouldn't even bother trying to clean it up much, unless you have some time to kill. I doubt it would really pay off.

They are not bent at all, I removed them from the bed about 5 months ago and put them up on a shelf since then. Only took them down the other day to get some pictures of them.
