My new used 2007 Expedition
Hello everyone. I just bought a certified pre-owned Eddie Bauer expedition. I am really excited and loving the truck. Hope to learn a lot here. Can anyone give me anything I should look for while it is under the 3 month dealer warranty? Any trouble spots I should know about?

How many miles on it? Might want to see when the plugs were changed last. That can get very costly if they break while being removed. If it has the air ride supspension is the compressor cycling on and off too much. The air bags start to leak after a while. Last when coming to a stop does the transmision down shift smoothly? In not the need to reflash the computer.
Those are the only real issues I remember on by old 07. I know have an 2011.

How can I tell if the plugs are an issue? I don’t have any record of whether they have been replaced. Should I try replacing them myself? Should I pay the dealer to replace them in case one breaks it’s theirs to fix?

Congrats. Only problems I have had is transmission and driver side seat motor. Transmission was taken care of with TSBs. Driver's side seat motor stopped working and it was fixed under warranty. It has just started acting up again. (I am not out of warranty.)It won't slide back and forth but works in every other direction.

I am just wondering with the issues people are talking about regarding the plugs breaking when trying to remove them if that problem is exacerbated by the plug being in there for 100,000 miles. Should I swap them out now? Maybe it would go smoothly and I would not have to worry about them breaking later?
