AOD trans shifting wierd/too quickly

ok i have a 1993 f150, single cab lwb, 4x4 on a 6in lift and 35x12.50 tires

not too familiar with fords but i believe i have an AOD trans

shifts from first to second just fine,

shifts from second to third very soon and either it will shift to third too fast and stay in third for maybe 1 whole second, then into overdrive and the truck wants to bogg down or lugg, OR it sometimes seems to miss third all together and go from 2nd to overdrive and also when i put it to the floor it doesnt down shift.

is their and adjustments that can be made, i know like on a chevy 700r4 trans you can adjust the TV cable/kick down cable. but what can i do to this one?

please help this is my daily driver and racing season starts in march and i need to haul my race car around befor then lol.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ont-shift.html Have a look at the post by Conanski in this link on how to adjust the TV cable.
This does not apply if you have an AODE trans.

Hold on I doubt you have an AOD in that truck based on the behaviour described.. sounds more like an electronic tranny with a VSS problem. What is the trans code on the drivers door decal? T is AOD, E is E4OD, U is 4R70w.

If it has a TV cable (like you say) then it is an AOD.
For the belt, maybe take the belt off and rotate each accessory pulley and idlers by hand to see if any are rough (including water pump) and check for excessive end play.
