1979 ford f-250 inline 6 cylinder, only getting 10 mpg no matter how fast i drive, what all could i do to make it better, must be something i should be able to get 12 - 14 at least shouldnt I ???
I have done a tune up new plugs wires cap etc, and a new carb, 1 barrel, would a two barrel be better, maybe a new distributer, coil etc, would that stuff help
Bob and I were talking about the wheels when he came over. When I put them on to begin with, I lightly wet sanded them with 400 grit. It gave them a nice satin finish. I guess I'll keep doing that until all the ridges are gone from machining the wheel. When they're smooth, I'll polish them.
As far as the 390 goes, as soon as I rebuild it, I get my bell housing, I get the time to put it in, etc, etc. My truck runs great, but I know the old girl is tired. Hopefully sometime this year.
lol. No, not yet. I'm going to try and use the skin from the one you gave me and make new brackets for it so it fits the frame. I also found another single tube roll bar that I might buy and use the one you gave me to make a double tube bar out of. Both are things that will get done, I just have to think on how I want to execute it. It's a slow process, but she'll get done in time. At least now she'll turn some heads
