Tman, if you had distributor off and have somebody crank engine with your thumb over spark plug opening, you can see where the pointer is when compression is evident .....

Tman589 is starting off with a positive reputation.
Ok got it to run (out of gas).But the only way it will start is the distributor turned all the clockwise,and the throttle wide open.But won't stay running on its own.

Your distributor is off 1 tooth, pull and restab it 1 tooth CCW. Was that with the 5.0 computer?
