Is it a "Highboy" or a "Lowboy?"
F26 = F250 4WD Pickup.
H = 351M
R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.
Y80103 = 1977 (not a High Boy).
The last 1977 F250 4WD "High Boy" was assembled before serial number Y20,001 which occured mid-model year 1977 (February).
1977 F250 4WD's assembled from serial number Y20,001 thru the end of the 1977 model run (last serial number Z25,000), are not High Boys.
These serial numbers pertain to all Ford trucks (not just F100/350's), Bronco's & Econolines.

I see a lot of confusion about what is a highboy and non highboy. ANY Ford F250 4X4 truck from 73 to 77 and the 77 is before ser # Y20,001 Is what is nicked named a highboy. There is NO non highboy in these years. They are all standard Ford F250s 4x4s, the term Highboy is a nickname. There is nothing different about them, they all are the same as far as a highboy or non highboy. So if you have a stock 73,74,75,76 F250 4x4 it IS a highboy. 77 would be the only year that may or may not be a highboy. Highboys started in the mid 60s.

to make things simple all the trucks that are considered HIGH BOYS will have a Divorce mounted transfer case and 3 drive shafts , short one from tranny - transfer case then a rear and a front one !
the front springs will be positively arched on the high boys , when the change was mad in mid 77 the transfer case was bolted to the back of the tranny and only had a rear and front drive shaft and the springs were flattened out !

Front block='s blockhead
Off thread subject, but those front blocks (pic 1) can cause pic 2&3.
The lateral forces your front end takes in corners is unbeliviable and those u-bolts are working hard even with the spring pack right on top the axle.
Putting a block in the front only multiplies those forces greatly, and can cause a catostrofic failure of them, meaning your friggin front axle could fall off.
And probably in a turn so you will be lucky if you do not roll your truck, kill yourself and anyone riding with you. Let alone anyone else around the accident.
I know it takes money and time for a lift, at least remove them till you can afford a proper lift kit.
The 2nd and 3rd pic are not from front block useage, but I wanted to scare you into taking them out. Drive safe and smart Ford brother!
