EcoBoost upgrades.
I cant wait to see what the aftermarket can provide for the ecoboost.
Being a turbo engine, i would be willing to bet that there is some serious power to be had from custom engine tuning, intercoolers, exhaust.
Maybe north of 400 hp and near 500 ft lb?
Could be interesting.
What kind of gains have they gotten out of the SHO?

It'll take a good solid year, maybe even 2 after the release of a new engine to have the kinks worked out on everything and what limits can be pushed and what can't, how much can you get away with tuning etc.
I wouldn't think about it too much for at least a year and then see where everything is at.

The mods have been proven in the other applications. Hennessey Performance has the Max Boost 445 kit for the SHO (Athough an expensive example @ $3500)
SCT tuner, some CAI, and a free flowing muffler should be all that it would take to completely embarrass a top-of-the-line 6.2 F150.

Wow, to get the 6.2 option is more then it was to get the 6.0 option on my DRW.
I wonder if the 6.7 came close to that 12k+ upcharge to get that engine?

That's what quite a few people say about stock trucks. What it actually should be is "incredibly powerful and high durable for one size fits all type of truck".
You do have the potential to increase power and depending on how you do it durability a little bit more then what Ford can do having to stick within the confines of mass production efficiency as well.

There's a big difference from a base XL to a Lariat SC.

The 6.2 option is $3235 more than the 5.0 and $1920 more than the Ecoboost in the 2wd Lariat platform. For a 4wd, the Ecoboost is $750 more than the 5.0, and the 6.2 is still $3235 making the 6.2 $2485 more than the Ecoboost.

Also bare in mind, it does squat for resale unless you find someone that wants all that stuff and wants to deal with its well.
Do it for the fun factor if you are going to do it, you'll be happier that why incase you don't realize a gain in MPG.
