75 F-250 Transfer case brace

I bought an F-250 highboy a couple of months ago. Been doing a lot of looking on this site, and noticed from pictures of another truck that my truck is missing the brace that's bolted to the lower rear side of the transfer case. It extends rearward and up out of sight in the picture, and I imagine it bolts to the frame crossmember. My question is - since the transfer case is rubber mounted, should I assume that the brace is rubber mounted also, at the point where it connects to the crossmember? I can make the brace easily enough, but the mount at the crossmember concerns me.

OR - can anyone point me to a picture that would show the brace/crossmember configuration?

Thanks,
Paul

On top of the transfercase there are two brackets, one per side which are held on to the transfercase with 2 bolts coming out of the case. These have rubber on them. The plates are then bolted directly onto the crossmember with no rubber. I will go out and get a pic of it bolted onto the frame to show you how it should be. I can hardly imagine yours works with just one mount unless the "brace" is something else.

Here are the two pictures. You can see where the plates mount from the crossmember to the transfercase.

Paul, I think your asking about a brace from the bottom of the case up to the frame? I have not seen one come that way from the factory ,as far as i know they don't have any other braces.

Let me help you out, YES the tubular grace you DO need runs up from the 3 hole bracket bolted to the lower part of the rear of your trans case then upward towards your frame into a angled bracket. On the end of the brace/rod you could weld a bolt to the end of it and yes it takes a bushing similar to a shock bushing with a washer first then the bushing pushing towards the bracket mounted on your frame cross member.

Thanks 650 for the reply. I need to clarify my question - my two upper transfer case mounts are intact, but I'm missing the brace rod that runs rearward and up from the bottom of the transfer case to I guess the next crossmember behind the transfer case. I wish I could post the photo that shows the brace rod - I found it on this board, but have since lost it. Or if I could post a photo of my truck - it's now obvious to me that a piece is missing.

OK fellas - thanks to all of you for your help. I see now what I need to do. I was especially concerned about tying that upper end down solid while the other two points were able to flex - sooner or later something would break, and it's never the cheapest piece. . .

I am going to assume that is a Np203 only thing because my Np205 doesn`t have it nor do I think it would need it.
