You won't find them in reproduction. You'll either need to find NOS or used. Did you try asking the person who sold you the door if they have the latch? They're rare to find by themselves. Locks on the driver's side were introduced in 1951 in the 5 Star Deluxe package.

I have a few good used ones with the lock on the driver's side. PM sent.

Also, now your driver's door is different on the inside than your passenger door. The 52 door is from a 5 Star Deluxe truck and has the frame around the bottom for the interior door trim panel, a bracket for the arm rest, and another "hook" type strip towards the top for the upper inner door trim panel. If you remove the arm rest bracket, you'll end up with two holes going through your door where the arm rest would be bolted in.

It would have been easier to find the locking latch and drill a new hole in your existing door by using the measurments from your passenger door.

That may work. Just need to attach the straight bar running from the latch out to the triangle shaped latch.

Those are the regular latches, driver's side and passenger side. The one with the extra flange at bottom is for the lock cylinder on the passenger side. The other one, without the extra flange, is for the driver's side without the lock cylinder.

He's looking for the driver's side with the lock cylinder, as well as the passenger side.

That's one of the reasons why I stopped selling on eBay, and because of the fees.

Looks like I'll be digging through my parts boxes to find a pair to put on eBay.

If you ever make it to Stony Plain, you could try George Moir - he specializes in antique Ford parts. Doesn't have a website, but try giving him a call:

Yes, both springs are sold separately. Look for them on eBay or from any repro parts vendor. Look for a set from a 38-40 car, I believe, as they're the same for the truck.

Yah as someone else mentioned they are... I found it easiest with two people and I like to mount it onto a board to give you some leverage...

I've been looking at these;
Door Latch Control - RH - 48-52 F1 F2 Door Latch | AMD 535-4548-R

I need both doors, right now driver's side won't open and passenger side won't close. I haven't ordered them yet so I don't know what the quality is.

Just looked at those. They only have the "Non Locking" drivers side. I think I have one but it may be a week before I can check. Send me a PM if you are interested and I will take a look when I can.
