Question wax that leaves no white stuff on the plastic?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there is a wax that leaves no residue on plastic parts like around the windows and on top of my bed rails and bumper.
I have been using Eagle One "Wet" and like the results but I don't like the white stuff.

Thanks for any replies.

Go to Google or Yahoo! and type in "waterless car wash" and check out Dri Wash 'n Guard. Waterless car wash and wax all in one. I didn't believe it till I saw it in use, now it's the only thing I use on my collector cars. Can be used on any hard surface, no residue.

and to get the white residue off the plastic, try heating a little peanut butter (smooth, no nuts) on a rag in the microwave and then rub the warm mixture over the white spots. The peanut oil will float off the residue.

Yeah, it is worth it, especially if you don't have the time. What I love about it is I can take it with me to a car show and use it for a last-minute detail, without carrying water and the like. My car's won a trophy in every show I've entered it, so you know it's nice. The Waterless Car Wash is the only stuff I use on it anymore. The glaze finish it leaves lasts 3-6 months, so it's not like you're using it all the time. It's expensive to purchase, but not expensive to use, 'cause it lasts so long.

150man,
Thanks for the info on the PB trick. I'm trying to not have the white stuff in the first place. I have been able to get it off with WET tire dressing. Or WET detailer.

Thanks guys...

The peanut butter trick might work, don't know but I would rather eat it than spread it on my truck. That said I now use Dri wash and Guard. No residue and it sure is much easier keeping every vehicle clean. I first saw and bought this product in Tennessee last year at a campground. The man works there in the summer. He gave me a demonstration on my 5th wheel. What a difference. I used to use Protect-all from Camping World. This stuff really goes far and goes on easy. The nice part is you don't have to wash the vehicle. Just wet a rag, wet the vehicle and wipe off. I do wash my truck when it is loaded with salt though. I just can't bring myself to wipe on the new paint with all that grime on it. In between heavy grime I do wet and wipe though.

I use Eagle 1 ( i think thats what its called off the top of my head) Spray on wax. Picked it up at K-Mart of under 5 dollars, Takes off all the white wax residue and gives a great shine to boot

Talking wax that leaves no white stuff on the plastic?

I've tried a new product from Pennzoil. It comes with a bottle of polish, sponge, and micro-weave towel. It works well on all body surfaces. I used it the body, interior, glass and tires. No white stuff was seen when used per directions.

wax that leaves no white stuff on the plastic?

I always spray a rag with WD-40 and wipe off the plastic after a wax job. It gets the residue off also...

I've used armor-all sprayed on a rag to wipe down exterior plastic and it works pretty good. I don't like it on the interior because of the grease factor. Also body shops and detailers have special products for wax removal, talk to someone at these places for what they use. Along with the above ideas, where will you start??

wax that leaves no white stuff on the plastic?

I have owned a Black Electra Glide Harley for the past eight years. There is a product that is called "S-100" carnauba paste wax. It is sold by Harley dealers and other motorcycle shops. It does not leave a residue on plastic and is advertised as such on the container . It costs about $15 for the container and would probably do about 5 wax jobs on a truck. I have had the container for the past five years and it is about 3/4+ gone. I wax my bike a lot. Also the story about WD-40 getting rid of the residue is also true as I used it to get rid of the residue when I used a different wax.
