Gathering parts. Actual Ford diesel in 67 F100.
This will be the All Ford drive train Bumpside.
Still have a lot to get. I pick up the engine and Sterling rear in a couple weeks. For those that arent familiar with the Ford diesels, it's made by New Holland in Brazil. it's a 6.6 litre coming from a 92 F600. That gets mated to an Allison AT545(used in F600s, so I can claim it as Ford OEM), or possibly an AT1545(same trans, but has lockup converter). Then, the sterling rear for strength, and to match the F250 spindles I got from TigerDan a long while back. Front and rear sway bars, add hydrobooost, swap out the gas tank with a smog equipped one so I have a return line. Gotta box the frame all the way back to the leaf spring mounts. Chop out a new dog house & floorboard to set it back enuf to use a radiator, and maybe squeez in an intercooler/aftercooler. Not fully sure, but I may opt for airbags up front to maintain the weight of 1200 pounds of iron. Performance from this engine? for now, I'm going to see what all I can get out of it for cheap. Possibly around 300hp. I'll also have to re-gear to 3.08s to be able to run on the freeway with decent mpg. I'd rather keep the 300, if it meant putting a Cummins 5.9 in it. Nothing against em at all, there's just too many of em. Plus, the New Hollands have Ford script stamped in to the valve cover. Here's a representing photo of a 6.6:

I picked up the engine last Thursday, and actually fired it up on Saturday. Sucker runs great, even though it's hard to tell in the video(in my sig). Bought it for $500, and just added oil and a gal of diesel. They even gave me the engine cradle. Far from being ready to put in, but at least it's mine.

Sounds like a cool project! I'm subscribing to this build! What made you decide on the 6.6L instead of like the 6.9/7.3L IDI? I think fitting the IDI would have been easier.
Do yo plan to narrow then Sterling rear so it fits your 67? Or are you going to run it full width?
And will just boxing the frame make it strong enough? That's alot of weight on the front!

Sounds like a cool project! I'm subscribing to this build! What made you decide on the 6.6L instead of like the 6.9/7.3L IDI? I think fitting the IDI would have been easier.

#2, the old hot rodder's motto of sticking a big engine in something it wasnt meant for.
#3, it has way more power potential than the IDI, and while I like the Cummins 6BT, there's just too many of em. I actually used to own a Dodge/Cummins, and this 6.6 sounds SOOO much better.
The downfall is the length, it's about the same as trying to put a DT466 in a Super Duty.
I'm going to run the Sterling as is, unless the width is really that bad.
Boxing the frame should be plenty for all I'm going to do with it. It's only about 100 pounds more than a 6BT.

I got it painted. Really changes the way people think of it, mainly the family. They still think it's ridiculously huge, but now the paint has them motivated too.
I'm sending out the intake and turbo compressor housing to get polished as a cheap advertising plug for a buddy's polishing biz. I'm trading a guy back East for a #3 bellhousing, so I can bolt the Allison to it. He wants my #2 for his MD truck. Here's what it looks like:
