I DROVE IT TO THE STORE 2DAY

Well folks i drove it about 2 miles to the store sitting on a milk crate. LOL Monday it go's to Panama City to have the interior done and the front end alined. When i came out of the store there was 5 people checking her out. 2DAY WAS A GOOD DAY !!!!!!! Still got hood troubles cause i didn't have anyone to help me with that 2day. But i'll get it fixed 2mor. I HOPE !!!! If not i will be talking to ya ilya about the hinges. Also i put a ground wire on the gas tank and put 6 gal. of gas in it BUT still don't have a reading on the gas gauge. 2MOR. i plan on checking to see if i got a hot wire to it,then i guess i need to take the sending unit out and see if i can make it work. ANY SUGGESTION ON WHAT TO DO HERE ?

Thats excellent news!!! Congrats!

As far as the fuel gauge goes you will need to determine if the problem is with the sender or with the gauge. How does the gauge read now; empty, full pegged either way?

The easiest thing to do is to disconnect the wire to the feul sender and ground it and see what the gauge does, it should go pegged either full or empty(depending on the wiring, brand, etc). If it does then the gauge and wiring is good and the problem is with the sender. If the gauge doesn't change then the problems is in the wiring or gauge.

Now wipe that silly grin off your face before your face sticks like that

OK, a couple of things could be happening, either the circuit is open or its shorted to ground. Go ahead and disconnect the wire to the fuel sender and see what the gauge does (key on of course), then ground that wire and see what the gauge does. Hopefully you'll see some movement.
If you don't get any action out of the gauge then I'd start working backwards from where you disconnected it. Did you pinch or break a wire putting the truck together?
Check the wiring up to the guage, check every connection.

Congratulations, that sounds like a very exciting day. Enjoy every minute of it.
I know when I get to that day, I will be bouncing off the walls.

I was thinking about you the other day. I went to a flea market here in Central Missouri and they had a display of a ton of arrowheads, only a couple were for sale.
