I've been using PPG's DP epoxy for a seal coat prior to topcoat and I'll probably just shoot it with DP and run it that way for a while. With the cost of materials being what they are these days, I want to drive the truck for a while and see how all the modifications fare, then I'll think about paint.

Sounds like a good plan. Seal it, drive it, work out the bugs. If you want to make it shine later you can. I waited 10,000 miles on mine before getting the bugs out, then had the cheap gloss job. Works for me

Ive had several show cars, bikes and trucks and just got to old and lazy to spend every weekend cleaning and polishing. Painted mine satin black and will paint one of my Harleys the same when the time comes, I can wash it and blow it off with a leaf blower once in a while and it looks fine...

I love both types, it all depends on what it's on and and how good the job that was done... Both you can see the flaws (if there are any)! I'm currantly leaning to do the satin black or satin silver.

That's what I'm planning on using. Sorry for the off topic pics, but this car was apparently shot in SEM Hot Rod Black and I think it looks GREAT. Definitely an option to consider if you're looking for a satin / suede / matte finish.
