Have any of you guys been able to find and use, of do any of you know where to find a winter grill cover fitted for the Superduty grill. I understand I can get a "fits all makes" but I would prefer to use one fitted to the truck. Any thoughts?

 

I bought one off of ebay for the 99-04 grill for 70 bucks. I think the Cabela's catalog has them in there too.

 

I've been using the one from Cabela's. Works great, however I bought an extra grill so I don't have to look at the snaps all summer.

 

hmmmm. cardboad slats from time to time. there one time adjustable too.

 

I've seen the one for the 08 - 10 model trucks. Has a big Ford logo, and no snaps to drill. An OEM part. I would think I could at least find a picture on the internet of one sitting on a 99 - 04 grill..... nothing. I want to see a picture of one of these non OEM covers before I buy it. I can't believe how difficult this is to find.

 

Problem with that is, under the hood I have to remove the cover that covers access to the piece I want to cover (external oil cooler). If I get a warm day, I don't want to stop on the side of the road and spend 20 minutes to remove it just to get to a solid board of some sort when I could just undo a few velcro straps, and get on with it.

again, you have to remove the cover to get to that, as that is exactly where my oil cooler is now. I'd rather it be on the outside of the grill

How much was it?

 

I do the same thing but I use some plastic panels when I take it into the colder climates.
I put it behind the ac radiator.

 

they are about $70.00 + tax and shipping.

 

If you slide underneath the trk u will not need to remove anything just pull off a couple of clips holding a rubber strip inbetween the radiators. their similiar to what holds on interior door panels. slide the cardboard in.

 

Looks identical to the one I have from Cabelas.
