Fuel Leak... still

Finally got around to fixing the fuel leak, or so I thought. Bought the fuel bowl "rebuild" kit online that has all new gaskets and the four short fuel lines. But it still leaks like none other and I cant tell where from. Im 99% sure its not coming from the fuel bowl, everything I worked on is not leaking. Theres fuel in the valley and it leaks down the back of the block, any ideas or common spots that start to leak besides the fuel bowl?

The fuel pump, or where the fuel lines enter the rear of the heads are the most likely culprits.

I was afraid I'd hear that. How would you even get to the rear of the heads? There's quite a bit of fuel in the valley, I think I'd rather have to have the pump replaced.

The pump is a very likely source of the fuel. I've never had to mess with the fuel lines on the rear of the heads so I have no idea how easy/hard they are to get to. The pump isn't too bad, but if you have a CA truck the turbo has to come off I'm pretty sure. On a non CA emissions truck you can get the pump out without pulling the turbo if you have a "custom" wrench for the banjo bolt.

If you pull the turbo the lines in the back is easy to get too.

if it were the lines on the back of the heads it would not pool in the valley like that. if you are sure it is not the can leaking from seals or holes from corrosion then you have to look at the pump and or the banjo bolt in the back of the pump that connects the steel lines. you don't need to remove the turbo for either of those issues. If you think it may be the fittings in the back of the head then a mirror and flash light make those easy to see, but i really don't think that is your problem with the pooling in the valley.

Did you use new gaskets when you reinstalled the FPR? When I took my bowl out when I replaced my fuel pump to clean it out, one of the gaskets off my FPR fell apart and I reattached it without the gasket and it dumped fuel like crazy until i figured out it was missing.

Yeah I made sure I put the entire fuel bowl back together correctly, and I can see it's not leaking from the FPR for sure. I tried tightening the nut on the back of the pump when I had it all apart but i couldnt get it any tighter. I think I may just take it to the dealer, I gotta head back to school monday where Im an hour away from tools and a warm shop.
