I use Super Clean fill a spray bottle 1/2 with the chemical and 1/2 scorching hot water within 5 minutes I rinse with a cold garden hose and it is spotless.

Super clean is awesome I use it straight on the equipment at work before I begin any repairs but use a 3000 PSI pressure washer with a burner the stuff will take a layer of paint off if you don't get it off quick enough LOL

Excellent point! I've never covered the alt, but I cover the power steering pump because of the vent hole in the cap. Just don't forget to remove the bags before you start the truck

Digging this old thread up rather than starting a new one... is there any particular electronics that should be covered as well? Anything in the under carriage (seems unlikely)? Just using purple power and garden hose.

Stick a baggie over the "water in fuel" circuit board cube looking thing. If moisture gets in there you may get false "water in fuel" indications.
