Cold Starts 7.3 leaks fuel???

When I start the truck and its cold the truck leaks fuel out of the tube under the engine which come from the fuel bowl drain valve. The fuel runs all over the front axle. I was going to by one of Guzzles replacement drain valve at DieselOrings.com . Do you think Im going in the right direction? Any Suggestions??? THANK YOU!!!

Yes, but since you are paying shipping just get the complete fuel bowl rebuild and be done with it for the long run.

How much and how dificult? Not an expert do it yourself mechanic. Drain valve seem's pretty easy to change.

Comes with instructions and Bob is very helpful if you run into any issues, or give me a call if you need.

You'll need a T20 torx. I drive the torx with a little ratchet wrench and socket. I then hold the socket that holds the torx with a pair of channel locks as I unscrew the four screws. The screws face the firewall and are tough to get at but if you use the channel locks or pliers you can turn it without it turning back trying to ratchet. I just used the nice blue viton orings from guzzle this time. The screws are also about 3/18 longer than they need to be to make it even more uncomfortable. I use a big thick piece of folded cardboard to lay across the battery and radiator support to lay on.

I have done it twice now. Both times in the cold, most recently on Thursday when I was trying to get out of town camping for New Years. Nice timing.
