Smile My new 2011 Job 2 F350 King Ranch PSD - CAT Scale, DRLs, TPMS

Today I picked my 2011 Job 2 Ford F350 King Ranch PSD SRW FX4 short bed. It has just about everything except the moon roof. Ordered it 6 Nov.

A couple of particular goodies:
- 3.55 eLocker
- Rapid-Heat Cab Heater
- Nav System w/ SYNC
- Tough Bed Spray-In Bedliner
- 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Tow Prep Package

It is sweet in every way; drive train, ride, interior (black), handling, etc. I had the dealership turn on the Daylight Running Lights feature and reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System to 60 psi all around – advice received in this very forum.

My first stop was the CAT Scale:
- Front: 4740
- Rear: 3280
- Gross: 8020

Almost full tank of fuel, no driver, no payload.

Going to spend the rest of the week reading through the 2 inch stack of manuals.

Steve

Very nice looking truck!

But 8,000 lbs for a short bed with no load on it

What is the GVWR for that truck then?

swengle: real nice truck. I have a 2011 F-350 lwb. really like it a lot. But anyway I noticed that you bought from Randal Noe. Did you buy from his dealership in Terrell,Texas or from one of his other dealerships?

that is very nice. Mine comes it around that wt too. I use the axle ratings so I don't overload the truck. Don't forget the tire ratings as well.

Very nice looking truck indeed! Couple of questions, can you reach an object such as a 2x4 in the bed of the truck without climbing up on the bumper or dropping the tailgate? Basicly can you reach over the tailgate or side of the box and touch the floor of the bed/box?

Also not so much a question but in the last pic it looks like excessive orange peel even for ford. Is fords paint quality going down hill again? Or did something happen to the truck in shipment and the dealer fixed it before you got it? I hear that is common.

Again beautiful truck and I am not trying to pick on it.
