'08 Expedition Compass Recalibrate??

I've had my '08 Expedition Lmtd for almost two months now. Twice in the last three weeks the compass wants to recalibrate. So I drive in a circle and says calibration compete. North and South are correct but East and West are opposite until I turn the truck off and back on. Then all is normal.

Is it common to keep getting the recalibration message? Kinda annoying!

I never had to calibrate my '05 Explorer.

I never had to calibrate my '05 Explorer.

This sounds like your truck has a problem with the compass.

Yeah it does sound like there is a problem. I bought my 07 new and i have never had to calibrate my compass.
