How much weight do you figure you took off the truck by shortening it?

what is your wheelbase now? Wonder how that compares to the shortbed w.b. of 115". Mine is a 131" w.b. like yours was.

I think any weight I've cut off was offset by all the 4 link brackets and braces. The motor has to weigh less than the original 360 though with the aluminum heads; I'd guess it will wind up around 3200 lbs.

The motor was dyno'ed at 730 HP.

I was afraid it looked like a truck the airport uses to mount a ramp on but since I got the tires on the rear it's grown on me. Was really going for an altered wheelbase look. Thanks guys.

Looks like a short box to me......Looks good though.
Nice work.

If you were going for the altered wheelbase look all you had to do was move the front axle forward along with the wheelwells. Leave the truck length stock.
Thats what the whole altered wb was all about.
