Looks and sounds like you guys had a good time. To bad a couple trucks broke down never like to see(or wish) that on anybody, just a crappy way to make a good day go south. One of these times one of us will be there with a 3v 10.
Monster-4 looks like Mike dialed your truck in with the tune, I know after I posted that video of my truck he watched it and updated one of the 87 tow tunes I had and the thing will really get down and pull now.

Reps on the way to you all, great job.

Sounds like bravado trumped sensibility then. He should have known better.

Then again, he was driving a Dodge.

True, but using the truck for what it "ISNT" intended for almost nine times outta ten, never ends up pretty lol.. Most of us truck owners have at least figured that out the hard way

Yep. In the world of on-road diesel engines, V8s are the red-headed stepchildren of the group.

Nearly EVERYTHING, from little 7-liter school bus engine to 15-liter road tractor engines, is an I6. The only diesel V8s I'm aware of in the past few years are the Duramax and Powerstroke, as well as their IH counterparts.

Caterpillar made a V8 on-road deisel for a while, and very popular at that. Ever hear of a 3208 cat? Also, above 17 liters are V engines in the cat engine line-up, including one that is 20 cyl, making near 3000 hp, 8000 ft/lbs.
