Brush Guard?

Should i put this brush guard on my truck? Its from my buddies truck and we would probably just swap bumpers so that he has a hole less bumper.

This is the brush guard

And now my truck

Personally, I vote yes. I like the brush guards on our OBS trucks. I think they look good stock, but even better with a brush guard. But then again, it is a matter of personal taste and ultimately up to you.

I think you should. It will probably help a little bit if you ever hit something. I did a lot of reinforcing on mine and put a heavy wire middle in it. I'm thinking about adding in some forward facing spikes too to hopefully hold a deer instead of throwing it right into the windshield next time! Not much will hold a 200 pounder at 70 mph out of your radiator but it will help. We hit a loose cow in a 71 mg midget when I was a kid so I'm pretty serious about this stuff now. That hurt!!!!!

i used to write auto estimates and we have alot of deer hits in WV and the brushguard will actually cause more damage that without it. the whole bg will bend backwards on impact and damage stuff that the deer didnt even touch but they look good so its up to you

I am not going to put it on after thinking about it for a day.... eventually it will just get a custom fabbed bumper (once I get rich LOL)

I think you made the right decision, I prefer the whole bumper brush guard type, that one just looks a little too small in my opinion,

Its a local stroke owners... He had it custom built for his truck and now just would like a stock bumper again...
