Yes, everything swaps over but I would recommend the 390cfm 4barrel setup NOT the stock 1 barrel carb. Leave the FI exhaust on there as well. Computer stays as is to run gauges and speedo. DO NOT just cut wiring out. Go into the harness and carefully remove any useless stuff(Injector wiring etc.) Also, pull out the Check engine bulb.

The brains are gone
Yes I was wanting a spare engine. the 95 efi has the manifolds on it and a bunch of extra stuff. my truck is a 85 carbed "with 250.000 mi on it " it don't smoke and runs pretty well. but can't last forever. duraspark II is easy to work on .
But could the 95 efi work in a 85 truck without any brains or dose any one know of a simple brain box that would operate just the efi motor ?.
I got the motor $75. it turns over with a wrench and they said it ran when they pulled it. They were prety rough pulling it tho. Was thinking of rebuilding it for a spare.
Any thoughts appreciated thanks

There is a y-pipe offered for these manifolds. I'm sure someone will come along with the exact part number....
One thing to be aware of. The EFI block doesn't have the hole for the manual fuel pump. If you are rebuilding the engine before using it, the hole can be added. If you aren't going to rebuild, use an electric fuel pump.

Oh right, I never even thought about the fuel pump hole. As for the EFI exhaust, I know the Y pipe is from walker but thats all I know. If you are thinking dual exhaust, I would get on youtube and have a listen as these engines sound weird with duals to say the least. A large single exhaust would be plenty.
