10" or 9" clutch with flathead and T5 trans

Was going through the cabinet with a bunch of flywheels and clutch parts and found a almost brand new 9" clutch disk and diaphram type pressure plate that came with my T5 transmission that I will be installing in my 51 F1 truck with a Merc Flathead V8

I am a long ways off from being ready for this but figured I would ask if a 9" clutch would be too small for my F1? I don't plan on hauling much of anything or towing,

I would need to have flywheel drilled for this pressure plate, which I assume would be cheaper than getting a custum 10" flywheel made for the t5 trans ?

thanks for any thoughts or suggestions on the matter.

Josh

Edit;
oh the Pressure plate opening is only 2" I'm not sure once the clutch is depressed that the fingers won't hit the shaft???? whats the diameter on the stock type units? they appear to be about 2.5" +-???
thanks

The flathead pressure plate is usually used with the t-5 swap to avoid having to change the clutch linkage. The T-5 clutch disk has to be used because the flathead disk doesn't fit the the t-5 input shaft splines. There are some interference issues. Here's a good link with pictures. Start at p.2, post 40.
