how to mate an old c4 to 1988 HO 5.0?

wheres a good place to look for a torque converter for the old c4, not sure what flywheel /converter balance issues i have to deal with being an 88 5.0 block, can i use the existing 1988 flywheel?... it has a five speed manual currently bolted to the engine, i think i have to pull out the center pilot bearing out of the block? , just want it for a daily runner not into racing it,,, thanks for any info!!!

You'll need a 50oz flexplate and converter that matches (bolt pattern). Another option is an AOD. The 88 Mustang came with an AOD behind the 5.0 HO engine.

thanks gfw1985! will look into the 50 oz flexplate/flywheel it must be a special order item i guess to bolt up that old c4 convertor unless the bolt patterns are the same as the aod flexplates/conv which i doubt,, I just learned they are called flywheels on manual cars and flexplates on automatics lol, yeah was thinking of an aod but im kindy weary of overdrive trannys
