1999 4R100 transmissiom oil
Hi
I own a 1999 Motorhome on a Ford chassis. 4R100 trany and a V10 6.8l.I know the story of Mercon and MerconV debate . A few year back not to use MerconV in this trany and now a TSB came out and it was OK to use etc. I am planning to change the oil next spring and I am thinking of using Mobil 1 synthetic. Your thoughts Plaese. As far as I know this oil is compatible.
Thank you!

You'll be fine with M1 ATF. I would try to flush as much of the old fluid out of the system as possible. Use Mark K's method to change the ATF.

This needs updating because it was written before Ford changed MERCON V to be compatible.
