Low EGR Voltage

I have a 2004 F-250 Harley 4x4 with the 6.0L. Currently has a Banks Six Gun and a straight 4" exhaust. My truck "cuts out" when first started and cold, but seems to runs "normal" when warmed up. I had the codes looked up and all I get is an EGR low voltage code. I just replaced the EGR, doubled checked the connection, and changed the oil with Rotella 15W40 but still no fix. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get the replacement EGR valve?

Is it brand new from Ford?

When was last time fuel filters (both) changed?

Are they Ford OEM?

Did you use antigel? cetane boost?

The EGR valve is a brand new OEM Ford. Fuel filters are changed every time I change my oil and those are Ford Motorcraft filters. I use PowerService Cetane Boost usually in every tank.

what code is it exactly. being 04 truck you may be messing with the valve when in fact its the throttle plate code.
also banks is knowen to throw that throttle plate code for no real reason

I was planning on pulling the Banks off because I have been reading alot about how they are not the best tuner/programmer on here and that SCT (I am assuming this stand for Super Chip Tuner) is the way to go. Was going to return it as close to stock anyways, so I can try to start from ground up when I deploy and put it in the shop where it has time for a real mechanic to modify it the way I really want. As far as the code, I honestly didnt get the numbers. Our shop mechanic put it on his computer there and that is what he told me the problem was.

SCT does NOT stand for superchips tuner and is head and shoulders above the superchips when it comes to tuning a 6.0. PLEASE don't make that costly mistake and cheat yourself of the full 6.0 experience.

Ok on that note, can somebody help me out with what SCT is and what it does and the benefits. Although I just recently became a member on here, I have been consistently reading alot of beneficial information that has helped me greatly in self service and repairs, but there are still a few things I am green with. Besides the SCT, any advice on turbos, injectors, etc. I am wanting to increase power and torque but want to do it right and only once. I dont want to go too extreme but figure somewhere around 500+ hp and 1000+ lbs of torque.

sct is a tuner. the real advantage there is they also tune your trans.
500+ hp is money, and a fair amount of it.
start small headstuds and a tune you will be shocked at what you can get.
from there your in to injectors and turbos.
the 5r110 will hold up to about 500hp and thats all its good for after that your also looking at trans work.

Took off the Banks, unhooked the batteries doing it. Truck to seems to run a lil better but still has the "cut out". Do I have to take it and have a computer hooked up to it to clear the code to make it run correctly or is there a way I have clear the code myself? Or is it another problem? Could it be I have a 2008 FICM in a 2004 truck and havent had it flashed yet? It didnt do this whenever I first put it in.

Off subject, thanks for the upgrade advice. Where can I find this SCT and I assume ARP is the headstuds to go with? And just how much money we talking with 450-500 hp? I had already thought about a heavier duty clutch and flywheel, maybe even a stouter rearend. Taking all the advice I can get and soaking it up like a sponge.
