Motor mount questions. 302 swap.

I am in the process of swapping out my 360 FE to an EFI 302. From the research that I have done it sounds like I need to find motor mount perches in order for me to bolt this motor into the truck. If this is the case I can't seem to find anything used or new online so that I can do this swap. Can I get the perches from the 360 to work or is that out of the question? Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Brandon

My dad and I did the same swap, but his was carb'd and a 71. Im 90% sure he used the FE engine perches with 302 mounts. When I talk to him tommorrow I will confirm and let ya know.

If anyone else can chime in on frame widths, that would be helpful. Especially if there is some info on all versions of our trucks and their respective frame widths.

You will have to change the engine perches for the 390/302 swap.
Probably will have to find some in a junk yard.

Brandon, You will have to have the engine perches from a 65 to 79 F100 to F250 with a 302. I'm pretty sure you can also use the stands from a truck that had a 351M or 400 also.
If you look at the stands that you have, one is quite a bit taller than the other. They look like that for the 360/390 and inline 6's. The stands that you need will be almost the same on both sides. Definately a wrecking yard item.
There are pictures of the different engine perches in my gallery under parts if you need them.

1969/79 F100 & 1975/79 F150 302 engine supports (aka perches, stands, towers) are the same as 1977/79 351M/400 2WD perches.

In 1977, Ford did this:

D7TZ6028B .. Right 351M/400 2WD Engine Support replaced D0TZ6028A .. Right 302 Engine Support.

D7TZ6029B .. Left 351M/400 2WD Engine Support replaced D0TZ6029A .. Left 302 Engine Support.

If they aren't I have a set of 302 mounts I should be able to sell as I will have a buddy who has 351m/400 mounts I should be able to steal for when I need to use them later.

Let me check with my buddy to make 100% sure I can get the mounts out of his truck 1st, but I think I can and if so how about $25 + shipping. Or, I may be in Monrovia on July 4th and could bring them.

Also - just to make sure we are on the same page - my mounts/towers are for a 2wd.

I do also have 4wd 351m/400 motor towers for sale as well if you need those, but I'm not sure they are the same. NumberDummy only posted 2wd info so not sure.

Oh, and yes my truck is a 1969 ford f250 2wd. I bought the truck with a bad 360-390? engine, my buddy build a nice 302 and i' am sure i' am going to need the towers.
