i've had charging and dual battery problems in my 1999 f250 superduty. replaced both batteries and the alternator 3 times. can't find the problem. whats draining the battery? don't know what to do please help.

We need more information on your truck and your problem. What time frame are we talking to replace both batteries and 3 alternators? What batteries did you use? What alternators (new or rebuilt)? What has been added to your truck? Plow? Kicking audio system? Alarm? Seat heater?

What symptoms are you seeing? No start? Low voltage? High amperage draw?

 

thanks for reply. I replaced the battery and alternator about 3-4 months ago. let it sit for 3 days and the battery are dead. this has happened twice before. i used both new and rebuilt alternators with same results. die hard batteries 850 cca. the truck has a system but disconnected it when had problems remote start/alarm was replaced 1 yr ago thinking that was killing the batteries no luck. i hooked up and ammeter no large draw

 

How much draw are you seeing with the key off?
