Anyone else try lubing the hinges and latch getting them to move easier?

I am gonna try the washer thing on my truck, if that cold wind ever stops blowing.

Sure glad this thread came up, my hood sticks up about a half inch above the cowl. Guess what I'm doing sometime today!

Thanks everyone!

I'm glad this was brought up too...I thought I was the only one with a crooked hood. Mine sits too low on one side and too high on the other...or maybe its fine on one side and just too high on the other. Doesn't look lke the hinges have ever been moved or adjusted before so I have been scratching my head as to why it was crooked. Guess I'll try the washer trick when the weather breaks.

Something like this???????

I a working on getting pricing together for the tilt hood kit. I should have pricing done within the next couple of weeks if I like the what the water jet cutter tells me.

One thing some have done is to grind some of the lower portion of the hinge off where it
meets the firewall, this gives you a little more vertical adjustment (downward), but if the
hinges are bad, nothing is going to help-replace them.
