If it will pass Oregon DEQ, then it should pass CA SMOG.

f250.. if its diesel you'll be fine if it doesn't smoke and has no codes. My truck passed (texas f-150, gas) no problem and the cat went out like 2 weeks later.... So probably be fine.

Yeah i just had my f250 w/t "smogged" the guy said they really just plug in their computer and make sure the truck isnt shooting any codes. Also they want to make sure your truck doesnt blow a bunch of smoke like some people like nowadays.

If this is true then why do they even make CA specific vehicles?

There are now some states that require vehicles to meet CA smog standards.

All the emissions stuff is a pain in the butt. Wish i could cut all my cats off and just run a muffler and be done. I've been waiting on a special order magnaflow cali cat so i can build my new exhaust. But i do have to say, i was on the job site this morning at 6 and it was 50 degrees and by about 9 i was down to a t-shirt. i bet a lot of you guys are freezing right now.. lol i'm not jealous of that.

Yeah but when guys are sweltering in those 90+ degree smoggy days weeks on end, I'm enjoying a very comfortable 70 or so degrees most of the summer.
