Had TSB update flash on Tranny done today
Wanted to let ya'll know I had my transmission flashed today on my '10 4.6 4x4. The 1-2 shift was intermittently harsh shifting, and the 3-4 was a bang followed by slipping. The update flash has cured as far as the drive home so far, the shifts are smooth and crisp, and where they should be rpm wise.

I have to call my dealer and set up an apointment as well as mine just started doing the same thing. Up until the last 1000 miles my tranny was no problem but it just started doing the hard 1-2 shift under light throttle and once i got the hard 4th shift, but no slipping that I noticed.
how many miles did you have before the symptoms showed up? I have heard of a decrease in gas milage, any truth to that?

Hey guy's the tsb was recalibration 10-12-04. I have not noticed any decrease in fuel mileage. The truck is still driving perfect. Btw my truck has 6,300 miles.

Well I called my dealer and spoke to a service writter and unfortunalty for me, they are holding the line of the TSB doesn't match my truck because I have a 2010 4.6L 3v and all 2010 TSB's relate to the 5.4L. Mine is doing similar issues with 1-2 harsh shift and only once a hard 4th shift, although speratic. Their are several close TSB's but either the year or engine doesn't match. Its both good and bad that they won't blindly perform the TSB, but I have to work on the day of the appointment so I have to drop it off and hope they can recreate the situation.
At least it will be on record if it comes up later during warranty time.
