Hi im wondering which ports on the intake side of the head are for the egr gasses going into the intake manifold, i dont have the truck infront of me or i would find out for myself. could someone tell me or post a pic showing which holes they are?

ok thanks i thought those where the ones lol, i was wanting to plug them up on the intake side to keep exhaust heat out of the intake as much as possible, do you have any ideas for what i could use to plug them? i was thinking quicksteel.

If you block them off it will run like crap till it gets good and warm. I've tried it both ways and didn't notice a difference.

 

If you are wanting to go total old school, you can put a razor blade over the holes. If you are changing out the intake, just order the one without the EGR crossover. Also, if you are wanting to keep the heat from the intake as much as possible, look at using a valley pan instead of just plain intake gaskets to keep hot oil splash off the bottom of the intake.
