Best chip/tuner for my 6.4?

STEBAB,
I have been researching this a lot as I am a new F250 owner I have a 2009 FX 4. A buddy of mine has the Edge CST and he loves it. It is on his Chevy Duramax. Another one is the Spartan. The Spartan says you can disconnect and return to stock and it will not store a code that the dealer can find when scanning your truck. I have only 9,000 miles on mine and I am still not sure if I am going to put a tuner on or delete the dpf yet because I don't want to loose my warranty. Hope this helps like I said I am new to all this.

A Matter of Opinion...
I hope you know that this could go on for a while! This is definitely a matter of opinion and should net you many replies. I run an SCT Tuner with tunes by Innovative Diesel Performance and I am and have been very happy with the results. First you have to decide whether you're going to keep your emissions equipment intact or remove it. Once you decide on this, you'll still get a bunch of opinions. Innovative does both as do others - read all your replies then call Eric at Innovative or any one of several others on here that tune these trucks and talk with them - then make an educated purchase based on what you've learned. Good Luck!

Jim is right, there are gonna be lots of opinions on different types of tuners. I run the Banks Six Gun w/IQ since I do not wish to delete my DPF for warranty purposes and I love it. I Regen a lot less and complimented with the Banks Ram air makes for very noticable power. I just upgraded my IQ last week with the GPS Nav software which makes that package well worth it! Hope this helps.

I run a DashDaq tuner with Spartan tunes and full delete. I love it and truly believe that my truck will last longer because of it. Just be aware with any tuner you run with or without a dpf you are risking your warranty. Just because you dont delete the dpf doesnt mean you are safe for warranty repairs.
Everyone has their opinion on warranties and tuners and the ability to return the truck back to stock and Im sure you'll hear them. In my opinion I fully understand the risk I am taking. Also I would never return my truck back to stock and take it in acting like it was never tuned and screwing the dealer. I think its dishonest and just wrong. At the same time my dealer wont try to stick me with a repair that clearly isnt tuner related.
You need to make the decision, there are a lot of good tuners out there. I love my Spartan but have heard good things about all the big companies mentioned here on FTE. Good luck

First question needs to be asked to yourself. What is it that you want to accomplish by tuning your truck?
Better mileage? More power? Do you want to rid yourself of that engine killing, fuel sucking, problem causing DPF?
And remember this: Tuning your truck WILL NOT VOID your warranty. It WILL, however, cause you to be denied a warranty claim for almost anything drivetrain related.
Also note that there is not a single tuner that is "UNDETECTABLE" to a technician. There are way too many safeguards in place by Ford. So, be prepared to own up to any repair costs you may incur.
