Attention : '48-'60 truck owners

Need a minor detail from any '48 -'50 truck owners who have a fresh air hot water heater in their truck . Need to know the length of part # 18584 . This is the duct / boot that connects the 4" adapter ring on the fresh air tube at the kick panel with the heater . Have come up with a suitable replacment for this piece . A canvas type looking duct / boot with helix coils and narrow clamps . Thanks , Denny

My truck came with the Magic-Aire heater but my boot is long gone. There is one of our members here whyo makes a replacement part for that. I think he advertises in the classified section

His name is firstrider, here are some links;

My '49 F3 has an original boot and is 6 &1/4 inch long. I made my boot for the F1 but wouldn't mind a better one.

Attention '48-'50 truck owners

Made a minor typing error in original thread headline .blsd49 , thanks for the info , gives me a starting point on getting this together . Will post some pics when clamps arrive along with the duct . Really believe this set up will work . Have a 4" adapter ring and heater fresh air intake housing . Will put the two together and post a pic . Would appreciate any feed back . Will post pics soon . Thanks, Denny

Denny, look forward to seeing them.
Btw: both of mine are Ford not Magic Air but the setup is pretty much identical. Brian

Bobby , didn't want to post a message and correct you . I figured you would catch on sooner or later as you did . Later , Denny
